La Mani Vineyard was planted in 2001 with a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah (Phelps/ Tablas Creek Clones), Viognier, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Grenache, Mourvedre, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cinsault. It has produced the fruit from which many acclaimed wines have been made. Vines are planted on their own rootstock and range in age from 5 to 20 years.
Formerly named River Rock Vineyard, the fruit from this site has been used to make some of the region’s top-scoring wines.
La Mani is Italian for “The Hands.” Naming the vineyard La Mani is our way of recognizing the hand labor that goes into farming these sites and the hard work given by the men and women who labor in the fields.
